Sooo Updates:

Added a Mccoskers flasher wrasse two weeks ago and also just ordered my final fish, a Male Fiji Lyretail Anthias, great way to round out my setup, although I may eventually add that midas Blenny.

I've also been feeding my tank an insane amount of food. Crazy almost, but my skimmer's been producing some disgusting stuff and with my bioactive dosing I've been able to maintain below 5ppm nitrates and undetectable phosphates.

I notice a few small patches of what looks like wire algae or maybe some small growth of briopsis so I plan to use tech-m to get my mag up and kill the stuff. I would just dip the frags in peroxide but I have a patch on some LPS of mine and it'll probably harm the coral.

I've been keeping steady calcium at 450 and alk at 10 and my corals are loving it.

Zoas coloring up insanely and lots have much longer skirts. I'll try and shoot some pics before I head to SA tomorrow.

Also, my green mini BTA from ben split last night so that's pretty sweet.

Nice to hear man. I'm letting my tank settle until I get the LEDs I put on layaway at pollys. I'm getting the Acan LEDs 300 series and I'm going to run a dual t-5 setup with one atinic blue and one uv bulb for that eye popping color.

I actually have a bottle I got as a gift but I've never used it. I use thrive calcium, alkalinity, and Bio stimulant.

What bp reactor do you use Chris? I've been looking at running BP and GFO and am wondering which reactors are good.

Check out the innovative marine reactors. I have the midsize one and it's awesome. Rrasco just got the full sized one so he might have some input.

If you decide to sell that GBTA, let me know. I'm looking for a small BTA.

It's doing good! I keep thinking it's going to make some ricordias it's host but it hasn't yet. It seems really close to them and just hoovers over them. That's part of the reason I want the BTA! Did you're fish from proaquatixs take to your nems?

Dude, both never leave the anemones!! Like, honestly, I have to buy more fish to swim in the tank because they never leave em lol!

So tomorrow, I'm going to begin taking photos of every coral/invert (non CUC) in my tank so that I can have growth shots for you guys. Also, I will attempt (no promises) to take pics of fish as well. I will also take an FTS of all three sides of my tank.

This will be a weekly routine for me from here on out.

BTW, in case yall were wondering, if you don't clean out the SCA 303 skimmers collection cup, and only take out the liquid for a few weeks, you may have a 1/2'' layer of gunk around the entire inside.. you've been warned my friends.

So black midnight is doing much better, I don't think it was a sickness, rather just messed up scales from a fight with the platinum for trying to steal his home. I got a few frags from a friend and also picked up some cheap zoas at petco (actually rather nice ones too).

I haven't cleaned my glass in god knows how long and since my ATO sensor went crazy I'm due for a top off pretty soon. Gotta replace that because this bucket lifting is getting really old.

So I managed to ghetto rig an ATO using two units, that'll hold until I get a new unit, also finally found a car to buy after my accident!!

Corals are all doing well and my surviving fish all look great. I finally cleaned the glass which looks nice. The sherman's been moving around so hopefully it settles down here in a bit.

So, my tank is in semi-shambles right now, my skimmer pump messed up and my ATO went out, I've been mulling over a tank change to something "nicer" looking.

Here may be me thinking out loud, but here's what I'm thinking of switching to:

Marineland 27 gallon cube with stand: 230$
Apex Jr with display: 220$ (not a necessity but it'd be cool to have)
2x AI EXT Tank mounts- 130$
2x AI EXT Rails 12"- 60$
SC-65 skimmer (if my current skimmer can't be fixed, seller says it may be the impeller) 80$
ATO from auto top off.com= 40$

I'll also need a custom sump, so I'll need to find a builder for that.

I may just keep this tank until I move in august and then move it to the new setup. May possibly do something like an anemone tank as I've recently made a deal for another nicer large anemone so that makes the prospect of nem cube even sweeter.

I think the DSA may be a tad out of budget for me. Mark, do you know what the tank and stand for the 45 cube comes out to?

I'm not dead set on this tank, but I've always been in love with the dimensions and look of it for whatever reason.

Here's my criteria for a new tank:

Must not come with an overflow (I want to do my own hard plumbing and overflow boxes)
Must have a matching stand in black
Must be under 350$ for both tank and stand (not sure what that buys these days)
Rimless or rimmed is not a huge deal
