Looks like a nudibranch to me. Not sure what type though. I know next to squat on them. Plus like i stated earlier, my brain ain't in top form today so i wouldn't trust what my fingers are typing anyways ha ha.

I haven't added any myself. I do buy frags from members all the time though. Wasn't sure if it came in that way. It's very bright green (I assume because I think it's pretty) and only 1/2" at the moment. I had seen it a few weeks ago and couldn't get a pic due to the moonlights and had nearly forgotten about it.

Not really sure Ben. There are a bunch of different ones out there. Any colonies of zoas or palys or anything looking bad lately?
Allan, I thought they changed from the white color once they started eating aptasia.

Yeah. I think there's somewhere around 1100 different species of nudibranch.

And nothing out of the usual regarding zoas.

Found it!

Dude was munching on my watermelon zoas!! He's gone now. I'm gonna keep a very meticulous eye on any zoa that closed now. The one I killed isn't the same one as the one in the pics above. This one was half that dudes size.

Never seen a green one, definitely a nudibrach, just not a Berghia

Color change?
The pic in the last post wasn't mine. It was a pic someone took of a zoa eating nudibrach from San Diego.

Didn't confirm it Allan. From what I've read several nudis change color as to what they are eating. That is one reason they are hard to see and why I asked Ben about his colonies.

Matter of fact look at the color of the one Ben posted. It was eating his watermelons. What color are watermelons?

I'll tell you what'll knock them out, 60 seconds in a FW and h2o2 dip. That did it nicely. :)

I hate hitchhickers. I had a birdsnest frag I picked up trying to see if I can raise sps and soon after it went into my tank it started losing color and died and all this time I thought it was my water was not good enough. Then one day there were these little red bugs floating around trying to find a sps to suck on. Needless to say I had nothing else they can live off of and they all died but at the end of the day I will be nuking every frag with a coral dip and then it goes into my sons tank before it goes into the big one.

red bugs dont kill sps that quickly, and its very hard to see them on the actual coral, and even harder in water colum, also red bugs dont like bird nest. just a lil info on them :)

Yea the birdsnest took a little over a month the go completely. I was trying to have pure clean water for those 4-5 weeks lol. But in the end now my tank is running only rodi water and is mixed here at home. In the end I don't trust anything from outside even live rock.

I'm considering a wrasse at this point. As I understand, a melanurus could go after my fire shrimp.

I told him that. Usually with Halichores family wrasses you only have to worry when they are large and the shrimp, crabs, and snails are small. My melanurus likes the small nassarius snails, but left the pep shrimp alone.

Checking on a melanurus wrasse now.

Ben, do some research on other kinds of wrasses. Look at the fairy wrasses and their ability to eat pests. The halichores family is the best, but there are others.
