It took 3 days to delete a thread where a person was selling in the trading forum...... Chris posted some new pics of a single clown and I was going to respond but it is gone........

Clarification - Rudy was banned because he had already been banned once, and then he snuck back onto the forums using his wifes name. And got caught, so he was banned (again).

As far as the missing post, it's being discussed. But it is late, and a lot of folks are already asleep. I just happen to have insomnia, so here I is.

And, we ARE working on the forum issues, as hard as we can.

Tony, the post was temporarily moved while it's being discussed. And like I said, everyone is asleep except for me. So, I have no answers, other than it was moved due to a banned member being mentioned. I'm sure there will be more to know tomorrow. There is precedence on this, as we have seen a similar situation in the not so recent past.

And to quell your curiosity, yes, he was banned originally for a very good reason.

I moved it until it could be discussed further. Rudy was banned for reasons that don't need to be aired on MAAST. The protocol is if I thread may lead to something that we don't want to project as MAAST's intent, we (moderators ) move it, discuss it and put it back I we all feel its okay.

as for the why he was banned there are two sides to any story. I will personally say I've come to be good friends with him and this was a personal matter that got blown up and that same person has a record of doing the same things to others even a lfs was burned by that person

Chris, there simply is not two sides to every story. Just the two reasons aired already that led to his ban, and reinstated ban, and then there is the false side of the story shrouded in misinformation and scuttlebutt.

There's no micromanaging here, simply a group of hyperaware individuals committed to ensuring that peace is given to the majority of the community. There is a lot of details that are lost to the public as far as what the mods go through for their efforts.

Stated in this thread no less.... They get blasted for waiting three days, they get blasted for taking action in five minutes. The response of the mod team in this particular instance is a direct reflection of the amount of heat over the last issue where a simple question led to a devolved back and forth between the membership.

We can't please everyone, obviously, but if you think that we aren't trying... Well, that's just another example of misinterpretation of what and why we do what we do.
