I was thinking a 4' by 4' by 24' rimless with the overflow built on the outside of the tank so its flat on the inside of the tank.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/22/beby6uqy.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/22/apyranet.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/22/pymuzyje.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/22/uduqevyv.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/03/22/yry7ejag.jpg and maybe a better tank size the would give corals and fish more room to grow out.

Really, that quick and no more room again? Wow well I guess I need to go bigger than 175 which was what I had in my head. I was going to do a in wall build and the reason I pick 4' was because I have a wall it would fit in but that changes everything. I guess o e on the extra rooms will have to become the FISH ROOM if I can talk the wife into it lol.

ehh I'm stuck with mh I got that vertex light sitting here but if I go led then I will top off less and Kalk reactor will be pointless, I tried two part and it didn't work, so mh for life

Really nice tank and some beautiful colonies.
I think the one thing you will notice when swapping out tanks is that with colonies that large that grew into place, the challenge becomes how to place it in the new tank and make it look natural... And not trying to save every piece that breaks off.
What are you dosing to keep on top of your calcium levels?
Like Chris, I've went back to the kalk top off method... But because of the lack of external heat my ph hovers around 7.95. I'm thinking of adding a fan that will stay on anytime my PH is under 8.1.
Btw, love that slimer.

so the question is are you staying completely led on new tank or changing it up a lil??

Thanks Allen, I am worried about the moving the colonies but spacing them so there is room for growth so I don't think it will look natural at 1st anyways. I dose bionic cal and alk and is a little more expensive but I like it. I also will use my bio pellets again and probably use the same amount I'm using and see if that will still keep nitrates down at 0. Big pun, I think I will stay with LEDs and prolly add more to my collection. I think I'm going to get my ai sols converted to Vegas and then add 2 Eco tech pros to the mix and hopefully they play well together and play nice with my mp40s.

the pros are awesome deff the light i like and would go with after seein Dans tank. like i said i would make the switch but i hate two part of my system and my levels are dialed in with my kalk reactor(fill it and forget it) so i will be looking into the lumenbright fixture when i upgrade

Very nice tank Reefnub. Those colonies are beautiful.
I'm surprised you guys are having problems with 2-part. Once I got my dosing dialed in and bought some dosing pumps, I set and forget that too. I test every 2 weeks or so and everything has been spot on.

I dose the 2part with a bubble Magnus dosing pump and so its fill it up and leave it just like you. So you could make the move to led and you would be fine.

Thanks rrasco, I'm happy with the system and your right the 2 part with dosing pumps are very easy and get the job done.

i was dosing 175 mil a day and that was 6 months ago im sure my demands are up by now as coral is larger so thats a lot of two part to mix and buy..... suppose to save money with leds lol

Well, that could be an issue. That is quite a bit of dosing. Then again, I dose around 70ml a day and that is on a smaller much less stocked tank than yours, so it makes sense. To be fair, if you were using 2-part with MH it would still be the same consumption. Don't blame the LEDs for your 2-part consumption. It just happens that with your heat kalk is the cheaper option for you, which is absolutely fine if it works for you. I almost killed everything when I went to kalk, for that exact reason.

I say you should get 2 ecotech pros and one halide in the middle and see what happens.
