WC during cycling?

I pretty much gave up on the idea of looking for this answer, seems that every where I go it says something different. So I want ya'lls opinions. While my tank is cycling, should I do any water changes? If so how often or how much.

Also read somewhere else that you should not change the water (during cycle) unless there is 1 ppm of ammonia or more.

So seems there are alot of opinons, no water change, frequent small water changes, only if ammonia spikes way up.

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I originally was going to do no water changes, (till its done cycyling) now I do not know what I will do.

No water change until you start building nitrates.

The only time I would advise doing a water change was if there were any livestock in a cycling tank... Which there shouldn't be.

Most recommend not doing water changes while cycling. If you're using live rock, I personally would do small water changes. Also, use bio spira if you have lots of critters on the LR or you're impatient. I've used it to quickly cycle several tanks and love it. It sounds like snake oil but I just used it to cycle my latest tank. I added some dr. Tim's ammonia, waited a couple days, tested ammonia and got a decent reading, added bio spira, waited a day and no ammonia/nitrites but about 20 PPM of nitrate. I'm using dry rock.

Just wanted to add that I'd only recommend water changes or bacteria if your live rock has a lot of life on it (coral, LIVE sponge, etc.). If you're new to the hobby, I'd recommend what Allen said 100% because there's little room for mistakes. If you do water changes while your tank cycles, you're actually exporting the ammonia and nitrite that you need to cycle the tank.
