we had him for 3 years we inherited him when we purchased a setup from jose (seamonkey2) i believe his screen name was. he had him for 6years. so we think Bruce was about 9.5 years old.

Oh, i saw you post last week and was wondering about him. If you want I can burn a data DVD with all the video files from your totm. He was such an inspiration for the video presentation. I couldn't help but think of jaws as the behemoth moved from moved from left to right of the frame. There's some good video shots of him in those files.

Sorry to hear...
I miss mine, he is with Allan now... They are characters but wouldn't recommend them to tanks smaller than 150 gallons. They grow fast and love to swim and eat... Eat alot!!!!.... None of this feeding once every three days...... Feed 3 times a day!!!

Beautiful fish, I had no idea they looked that great when they matured. Very sorry for the loss. I think only other fellow fish keepers can understand the attachment you can have for a fish.

Sorry Eve,
Bruce was the most beautiful Vlamingi I've seen in captivity, and thats including Seaworlds population. I also know that no one else could've done a better job caring for him for so long. That fish was loved, and it leave a big hole in your tank:(
