Im thinking I want a simple canopy too since Im using 2 stunner strips for lighting and plan to add 2 more in the near future.

No not at all. Im running those right now and will add more very soon. Im also thinking about a 12" Wavepoint LED.
Whats your opinion on this? I am going to have mainly zoas and shrooms and a few LPS corals.

Look into the panorama pro strips for more power over the stunners. I was running 3 over a 24 gallon aqua pod with good results.... Maybe one over your tank with the 2 stunners for actinic...
