Last week my green montipora digitata frag that was 2.5" and fully encrusted on the plug completely disappeared, plug and all. Today, a pink gorgonian frag on a black plastic spade plug disappeared and cannot be found as well as the center of my war favia colony that was encrusting on the rock.

New tank additions as of this week:
- coral banded shrimp
- arrow crab (who has taken up hosting my plate coral...)
- green coris wrasse (who I haven't seen in three days)
- Mexican turbo snails
- pink pin cushion urchin

New additions before first disappearance:
- 2 banded serpant stars
- Astrea snails, small blue leg hermits

Current stock before any additions (been in the tank for 6 months):
- Blue hippo tang
- Yellow tang
- Falco hawkfish
- Flameback hawkfish
- Midas blenny
- Starry night blenny
- 2 Sailfin blenny
- 2 Blue & yellow damsels
- Blue reef chromis
- Damselloutte (? on spelling)
- Six-line wrasse
- Melanarous wrasse
- Pink pin cushion urchin
- whatever is left of snails and hermits after lunare wrasse was removed

No new live rock has been added. System has been running for 6 months in the 150 and a year total in general. Since everything is "reef safe," I'm at a loss as to what absconded with the frags.

There's plenty of cyano on the rocks to keep them full, lol...and the old one has always been a model citizen, never eating corals but conveniently taking them for long rides, while the new one was added last night and has only moved a foot from where I put him, which isn't close to any of the disturbances.

The plug disappeared too? Any possibility something is rearranging your frags?

If the plugs are gone too, you can bet your urchins are up to some thievery. Mine will happily point out which frags I failed to glue down sufficiently. They also hide crap in my tanks, always behind the rocks, or down in crevices. I'd give the tank a thorough inspection, behind rocks, under rocks, in cracks and crevices. I'm willing to bet that your frags took a ride.

Sherita, you are right and that's the first thing I did and am still doing. My urchin loves to take things for a ride and I just pull them off his back or look in the sand, but these frags are MIA big time. Plus, the favia was plug free, stuffed in a hole, and had fully encrusted onto the live rock all around the hole; and the culprit broke free and ran off with the original piece I stuffed in the hole.
