My wife and brother in law bought me some Aqua-mags to help finish out the new look of my tank. Im also going to be ordering a Tunze 6045 nano stream pump as well as some Hanna Checkers for Cal. and Alk with the money i got for Christmas. Also going to be getting some new smaller reef safe fish for my 90 gallon and 14 gallon office tank.
Here's the Aqua-mags before going into the tank. Once I get them installed ill post some more pictures. Also here is a picture of the tank since I redid it and before the Aqua-mags are installed

I've been using the aqua mags for a while now. Be careful as they don't hold a tremendous amount of weight. I use them for ricordea and zoanthids...but would be hesitant to put heavier stuff on them. FYI, you can always put stronger magnets on the outside for in increased strength. I use plastic coated neodymium magnets on the outer magnets...

Not sure right now since I'm laying in bed, but it's an Oceanic 144 gallon half circle tank. I'd guess half an inch maybe?

Where did you get these? Can you put them inside the tank as well?

they work fine when you use a good quality water for the test. I actually buy the Hanna water or use RO/di from my filter when it's coming out at zero. I haven't had a skew result

Ya I know you need to use RO water for the cal checker. I'm still going to get it since I feel it will be acturate enough if done right.

Here are some updated pictures. Aqua-mags have been in for almost a week. I want to make sure there is no diatom bloom before I add the corals to them. So far I love the way they look in the tank.
