I am needing some advice on my 15in cube. The tank has been set up since June of 2010...going on 2 and a half years now. At first everything did great, filled it with lots of zoos and GSP. Slowly all the zoo's went away (I am almost positive i introduced either zoo eating nudi's or sundial snails when i put in a few wild colonies i got online). The tank is too small to add a wrasse or any other fish to combate the snails/nudis.

Well all my zoos have been gone for several months now after they slowly went away. During that time my GSP grew like crazy and i propgated several times. Now that my zoos are gone, I am noticing my GSP are slowly going away as well. Everything else in the tank is doing well (LSP, xenia, shrooms, sps).

Is it possible that whatever was eating my zoos is now eating my GSP?? It is not feasible to add another fish at this point (2 clowns and a royal gramma). Is there anyting else I can do other than pulling out all the rock and dipping it?

Water parameters are all good and constant and have been consistent since the tank was set up.

I think a dip is a good option. It certainly can't hurt.

Have you seen any predators consuming your coral?

I have not seen anything recently. I did pull out both sundial snails and zoo eating nudis About 2 Years ago, I was unaware of them eating gsp though

I don't like vegetables much, but if that is all there is on the table I'll eat them.

What is the best dip then to treat all of my live rock? I assume it is zoo eating nudis more than sundial snails.

Are you able to take the rock out Ross? If so there are myriad of dips out there that will work.

Yes sir. When I do it i will pull all the rock out at once and dip it all. I have been out of the game for so long I don't remember much. Lugols, seachem, iodine, freshwater, flatworm exit, and hydrogen peroxide are all things I remember. What would you recommend?

Ps hope your doing good John, long time no talk! Hope you still have some of those old frags of mine!

Good news and bad news! I found out what my problem is. Bad news is that it is asterina starfish. I don't want to mess with having to feed a harlequin shrimp after he takes care of my problem, so I will probaly just try to pull them out by hand, unless someone knows of a better solution!

I use coral RX as a general cleaner and dip.

It's been a while and a couple of tanks. I broke down my old 90g because of some problems with it and housed most of my colonies at a friends tank. Long story short is that wasn't a good idea. Lol not sure what all we traded or what I have left. If you come back into town holler at me and you are welcome to anything we can frag.
