Water spilled on RKL, need a way to update new head unit

So I dropped my old RKL head unit in water, luckily I picked up one today for my second tank, I swapped units over but this one is running old firmware and won't update my unit. Is the SID to RKL unit direct connect something you can buy at say walmart or radio shack?

Idk what that plastic thing was but you need the Sid V2 adapter.... I have one but Chris borrowed it awhile back... When I get it back, your free to bring by the head unit by, I can update it....

The sv2 goes plugged into the computer, then plugs into this http://www.cedarpc.com/images/7015223032465490433_1.jpg then this plugs into the head unit. It was in the box you brought out yesterday.. I may possibly be able to bring the unit by tomorrow night if your free.. around 930 or so..

dont you just plug in the V2 into a PC and the head unit? Unless the lite is different, that's the way I updated my elite..

v2 is just an extension incase your side cord isn't long enough

Well the coupling is to connect two male ends together, the rkl has a male end and the sl2 has a male end so the coupling receives both.. do you have it in the box? If so, can I buy it off you or have it? The elite just plugs into the sv2 because it has multiple ports.

So you only need coupling? Not the whole sid? Im sending the whole sid with coupling to the store today. You can keep the coupling if thats what you need
