A better pic may be in order, Andre. I can't tell. New growth tends to be white but algae growth isn't good.

Are you testing? Look at ph and alkalinity.
Have you changed anything lately?

+1 on firewater's advice. Recession from the tips is usually caused by low alk/ph or big swings in alk/ph.

Probably a result of high alk

Check it to make sure. Then we have to figure out why it is that high or why you are having swings.

Do you dose? Run reactors? Changed salt lately?

What type of sps is turning white? I'm thinking it might be a light acclimation problem. Either the type is less light demanding than your other sps or it got moved up too fast. Just my .02 :)

Check your alk with a good test kit like Salifert or Red Sea.

Ok, let's backtrack and figure out what has changed.

Have you added any new items to the tank? Lights?
Did you just switch to Salinity form another brand?
What is your water change schedule?

has it fallen in sand recently or any coral near it that can sting it.......any other sps doing the same thing in the tank. sometimes it just happens for no real aparent reason, you can prob dip it in coral RX or revive and see where it goes from there.

I'm puzzled on this one. And it is more than one sps that is doing it right?

Anyway you can get a hold of another test kit or have someone test it using another kit? Usually tip recession is caused by a couple of things. One of which is swings in params, usually alk. The other as mentioned might be caused by lighting.

I like the Red Sea test kit, as its all in one for a decent price. Forgot what I paid but Louis at elegant has them... Also salifert are supposed to be one of the best and many swear by them... I have there calcium kit.

Both of those are good test kits and seldom see problems with the mentioned.

I am not saying that your tests are bad, I just want you to be able to rule that out.

I'm trying to think of an answer for your problems. So I am just running down a list of possibles.

What lighting are you using, where are the frags mounted, what conditions were the frags being kept in before you got them, how long have you had them in your tank?

what fish you have, maybe one has gone rogue and started eating your sps? or it's (more likely) an alkalinity issue.
