My new Innovative Marine Nano 16 HELP??????

I just setup my nano 16. I can't seem to get the right amount of water in the filter chamber. Does anyone know how much water should be back there? Or what the water should be in the tank? Thanks for any help.

U need to fill it up to the same water level in ur tank. Water level should be 1/2-3/4 way up the "slots". It's not like a sump where u have a certain water level that is pumped back to the tank.
