I've had this thing for a while, in the last year or so it's been split up the side. Anyone know what or why it's doing that? I'd kind of like to get it whole again.

I've spot fed it although the tentacles don't come out like it used to.

Think it's not happy/ on its way out. We had one do the same thing and eventually lost it. Has it always been positioned there?

No, it was on a rock in the 190, when I noticed the seam, I moved it the sand bed. In June when I switched tanks I tried it on the sand bed, about two months ago I moved it to its current place.

If it was sps, I'd take you up on it Chris, but it's an LPS, might be out of your comfort zone. :)

I was thinking of doping it in some coral medicine or something? It's mouth has been open to the rock for the last 7-8 months.

Don't give up on it!

I had one split right through the skeleton. Let's not discuss how. The tissue was still intact, with three wobbly bits of bone underneath. It was stressed and sickly, and made me sad to look at.

txg8gxp glued it for me - I'm terrible with glue. It took a while to come around, and it now has a slightly trachy shape, but it's growing and puffy and eating well.

I do it all I'm an expert, I just sold all LPS to make room. anyway try coral rx, if it's bacterial it may help it, or revive by two lil fishes. I have both if you can't find them

Thanks A, I don't think I can give up on it. It is certainly down to the skeleton. I wouldn't know what to glue though.

I will stop by one of the LFS to see if they have any. I went by ER yesterday, but I was thinking more of my low alk than anything else.

Which I just checked, it's at 115.
