Im looking to get one for my 90 gallon tank. I havent done a lot of research yet on the different types but was hoping that some of you guys could give your opinions on what to buy or what you use. Also need to know what size I should be looking for. My tank is 90 gallons minus the rock displacement plus about a 30 gallon refugium.

Also, if anyone has a uv sterlizer for sell/trade that would be good on my tank please let me know. Im interested.

I bought the smallest turbo twist for mine,9watts I believe.... And when I hooked it up it made the tank sparkle for a few weeks then it seemed to go back to its original state...

I think it's rated for up to 125......

Was going to take it offline to see if it makes a bit of difference but I can say those first few weeks it looked awesome...

I would do it again....

That’s good to know. The reason I want one is because I have some brown stuff growing on my rocks. It’s hard to explain. It’s not diatom of hair algae. It looks like the rocks are just turning brown on some places. More towards the bottom of the tank. I’m not sure if my lights need to be replaced of not. I’m also thinking I need to take out some of my rocks to help increase flow throughout the tank.

Before you go spend money on a sterilizer or gfo I would recommend more flow in the area and possibly scrubbing/siphoning those areas on the next water change. Might even up the water change frequency to see if that helps.

I was thinking of upping the water changes. I already have a dual reactor with carbon and GFO. I'm going to be buying new lights soon to replace these. I only run my lights about 4 to 6 hours a day. I last replaced them back in February.

Last water change was about 3 weeks ago. I changed 20 gallons.

Try every 2 weeks... I was doing 30 every 2 on mine and nothing, I started doing 10 every week and I started getting issues... Might to back to 30 every 2

Thanks. I really do have to get a schedule down for it.
