I'll be replacing my 75 with a 125 soon and I wanted to get an idea of the order I should stock the tank with fish.
I currently have a yellow tang 3" and a blue hippo 2.5" that will be moved over.
All new additions will be quarantined for at least 3 weeks.
Looking to eventually add:
kole tang
2-3 anthias
heniochus bannerfish (are these reef safe?)
GS maroon pair
Would I be able to add a powder blue or brown with the above fish?

Powder blues tend to be real mean..... Well atleast in my experience...
I added the purple with the yellow and naso already in there with no issues..... With all the precautions you will never know till you try though....

for sure you should add all the tangs at the same time when no territory is established.

Yea I heard that about them, thats why I thought I would add it last and see if that helps.

But then I wouldn't get to quarantine it, and they are ich magnets!

Not after seeing how much a rimless 125 costs. It wasn't in the budget

Even though u add it last, they will still fight.... How much? Depends on how tough your yellow is cause I'm sure he will be the one that will put up the biggest fight...
i took a big risk adding the purple after the yellow had been in the tank for over a year... They battled alot, but came to terms some how, they still go at it every now and then....
Dont let it change your stocking plans, you never know till you try....

quarantined the tang is good. If you a tang in a tank with other tangs and they attack the tang. Now you have a sick tang with tang wounds. That tang will get icky.
seriously that when the parasites will attack. fyi
