Going to get started, will take pics of what it looks now and what I need to do before beginning. Move a softener, shorten a workbench, drop some outlets, and then cut the hole and start hooking up the tank.

I agree, your 125 would fit just right.

lol, RayAllen used to have a sweet 40g breeder in wall tank.. I think smaller tanks look great in the wall, kind of different than the normal massive tanks you would see in the wall. Joelb also had a breeder tank in the wall, i think 20g, it was small but super sweet.

Where da pics?

As Rob mentioned above I had a small inwall tank in the wall myself. Framed it out and it looked like a live piece of art. I utilized a under stair closet for mine.

Sounds to me like you are going to use your garage. Take all the step you will have to in order to control temps. As you know it gets hotter than hell here and from those tanks ive seen in a garage they need a strong chiller and a room built around the tank to help control temps, humidity and not to mention the things we house in our garages. Gasoline, chemicals etc you want to keep well clear of. I recall a build where a guy even installed a window ac in the fish wall to help. Ive seen some nice garage room tanks though so am looking forward to your project. Have fun and try to keep the lowes/Home Depot visits to a minimum. Never fails I wind up going 3-4xs more than I anticipated.

It will be in the garage, but I'm planning on building a small insulated room with a Window A/C for cooling vs a chiller. Lots of 2 x 10s to frame out the room. Getting all my plumbing stuff ready and new breaker for the box with GCFI circuits. I figure it'll take me a few months to finish out the room and then I'll be ready to start putting the tank in.

What a great idea!! Convert garage to a fish room:bigsmile:They allways slope those slabs.Check the leveling. I want to do same thing.

yep, part of the room will be on the foundation and about two feet will be in the garage. I'm going to slope the floor towards the garage and create a drain to the outside so just in case of a leak no water gets inside the house. My wife's two biggest complaints are spills and smell, (she has a sensitive nose). Probably during the week I'll shorten my workbench and on the weekend move my softener. I'll post pics when I get started.
