ok, so i have lost interest in this tank, and since it arrived, i have only picked up a guitar twice. i would like to find a good home for this unique tank so i can spend less time on tanks and more time on other stuff. i would like to get as close to the money i put into the system as possible, but i am realistic, so feel free to shoot me a reasonable offer if you are interested. i will not part out anything.

here is the build thread:

http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?70023-temperate-reef (http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?70023-temperate-reef)

tank specs:

marineland 110 commercial lobster system manual (http://www.marineland.com/sites/Marineland/Documents/ML24BW(2).pdf)
- built in chiller works - compressor has less than a year of use (i only have it set up as a backup)
- commercial biowheels intact and run correctly
- upflow ugf functional, but modified to house live rock rubble for extra filtration
tunze DOC skimmer 9005
sicce 3.0 return pump
sicce 5.0 closed loop pump
four stage led lights (moonlight, twilight, dawn/dusk, daylight)
custom acrylic cover and insulation to reduce heat gain
tradewinds super 1/3 hp inline chiller - $500 obo

inhabitants:
waratah anemone
painted anemone
green surf anemone
austrailian green jewel colonial anemones (6)
pink california strawberry colonial anemones (6)
juvenile red rock crab
monkeyface prickleback

also possibly (havent seen them in a while, but there are lots of places to hide) red sea star, pinpoint gunnel, northern clingfish

I would like to get $1400 for everything, and will not part out anything. feel free to make a reasonable offer for the whole shebang if you are interested.

btw, our electricity bill increased between $10 and $20 a month running this tank, so the insulation really keeps it from being a power hog.

just a couple of reminders:

1. i am not parting out at this time and i am not taking pendings for parts should i decide to part out in the future.(see latest post)

2. these critters need cold water - the tank is currently running at 58 F

tradewinds super 1/3 inline chiller with controller - $500
sicce 3.0 - $60
sicce 5.0 - $120
tunze DOC skimmer 9005 - $120
marineland lobster tank with custom cabinetry: will need return pump and circulation pump (unless you buy the two sicce pumps), but the built in chiller runs well. with custom 1/2" acrylic top - $400

package deals:

take the tank and both sicce pumps for $500

take all equipment for $1000

take everything including livestock for $1200

will start keeping track of things pending and who is in line, but nothing can go until i ship out the livestock.

on the off chance that someone else near here has a temperate reef, i will make you a good deal on the livestock - pm me for details.

btw, this would make a great tank for an octopus...

That would be sweet. Someone should buy it and make an octopus tank. (Not us!) I would love to see that. Of course Ace, you could keep it and get an octopus. I bet that would keep you interested. :)

Hey, folks, summer is coming This is probably the BEST chiller on the market - it uses the best of components, and it CAN be repaired by a typical A/C guy. Try that with a Chinese made chiller! The controller is an off-the-shelf controller that costs about $70 - just in case, in the rare event, it fails. If I were purchasing a new chiller, this is the ONLY brand I would consider.

Just sayin'....

yep, it is a good one. easily kept the temperate tank at 58 deg, and it is pretty quiet as well.
