Tangs will eat it. But if you need something smaller a tiger blennie should work to clean your frags. Otherwise you need to remove as much as you can until you get 1 of these guys to start cleaning for you. scrape what you can off.

you can do a hydrogen peroxide (3%) dip on the zoas. I like to put the frag in a cup with tank water and slowly pour the peroxide until the frag starts bubbling...then wait 5 minutes.

If after a few days the algae is not dip dip it again. This dip does not work well on most LPS and softies. It does work great on zoas/palys and can work on SPS but they can only be dipped for about 60 seconds.

I'm just going to be honest here:

Either quarantine them, or throw them out. My bryopsis cost me thousands of dollars.

This is not guaranteed but I had bryopsis poping up on my liverock and I mean a lot. I used kent tech m. I raised my mag to 1450-1500 and it all shriveled and disappeared in a real short time. I'm not 100% sure on how it will effect your corals but I believe it is safe just has to be dosed very slowly.

Mine started as a tiny little penny sized patch. It was pointed out to me by a Sesame Street character who used to be a friend of mine. He said "I'd get that out of your tank...". I didn't. At one point, I was pulling a couple of pounds a week out of the tank. Then I tore it down.

that stuff is horrible reason why upgraded and tossed all coral and rocks that had it. peroxide helps but you need to be n top of it and if you any sign dip again, otherwise toss em

bstreep, was this before the hydrogen peroxide dip trend took off?

I've done it, it worked, like a charm.

I thing the kitchen sink bounced off of that bryopsis. Yes, peroxide was one of the dozen or so things I tried.

Kent type m. It works. But I don't know if it will hurt your corals.

Kent tech M only works on certain types of bryopsis. Tangs will not eat it either. There have been acro frags that I really wanted but then passed on them after I saw evidence of bryopsis in the display tank.
