WATER CHANGE QUESTION

I have been doing 30 gallons every 2 weeks forever now and I recently started doing 10 gallon per week changes on my 110..... is this enough?

Its alot easier and nothing has seemed to mind and I never forget to change my water now.... cause its every saturday...

if you don't notice any bad levels rising and your cal and are good. it's up to you only you know your system. honestly I only change 30g on my 150 every 4-6 weeks.

i prefer the weekly water changes versus the larger less frequent ones. Agree with Chris, depends on the system and you and your already existing habits. People that don't dose anything at all that have a lot of coral will need to do more frequent water changes than someone who doses or runs reactors.

yup exactly what Rob said. I run bio pellets and High cap gfo, and kalk reactor. so I get a lil leeway on water changes

Ace does two 5 gallon water changes weekly. He has a rather large system. I do 10 to 15 gallons weekly myself on my 125. No issues. I think you're safe.

I only do 20 gallons a week, sometimes on Saturday, sometimes on Sunday.

The only thing I noticed when I didn't do water changes frequently was cyano. Not sure if the water changes prevented it, but now that I'm not doing them...

If you have a sps tank you will notice darker colors with less water changes as nutrients rise. when i used to run biopellest heavy and gfo i got that pale look to my sps like zeo-vit tank which i hated.

its just that its alot easier sliding my 10 gallon brute over to my tank then all the tubing I would have to run 30 gallons... It's alot less mess.

until I automate it all and drill through the wall, this is how it will be done...

If you can do it, larger water change is more beneficial to get rid of waste and replace essential chemical. A single 30 gal change is more beneficial to the tank than three 10 gal water changes, but not so beneficial to your back or to your peace of mind (the wife complaint about all those unsightly aquarium equipments) :)
