Purple Formosa

Woe is me. :-(

I came home today and my entire purple Formosa is completely and utterly bone white. Still a few tendrils of tissue sloughing off.

Although not my favorite, it was one of my large colonies. It died so quickly that I wasn't even able to save a frag.

Two days ago that rock had fallen and broke some purple valida and digi... Everything on the rock died except the lunar eclipse. :(

Don't sweat the digi or valida... I have two or three colonies of the digi growing in different spots, and a few frags of the valida along with a colony growing in other parts of the tank.

Who knows, could have been the proximity of all three that killed them off.

well, it fell over the fire coral. Could have been.

I probably should have kept the rock there where it fell, let nature take over. But no, I tried to fix it. Oh well.

It may be a bit of a tricky coral. I recently traded a colony of the formosa to reactor for some fish, and he lost the entire colony. Didn't survive the move. This morning I looked into the tank because I didn't want to see another bleach white colony.

Ouch, sorry to hear this Allan. . .
