time to put up some videos and see how this pair does for me, sofar far so good, female is a grade b picasso from doni, male is a super snowflake black ice i produced myself last year, been together for a couple months now and recently started to breed, this is the second clutch sofar tommorrow(saturday )they should lay 3rd batch, normally i wait till 5th batch to collect fry, but couldn't resist trying to rear the fry since they looked very healthy.. so far so good , it's been 3 days now and only 3 deaths out of say 140fry. im excited to see what pattern will come from this pair, might be good might be normal we'll know in a couple weeks when first stripe is visable... i will keep this updated with videos as much as i can.. any questions just ask ill be glad to answer them.....:shades:ENJOY!!

Pretty cool......
So is it really a lot of work? Not that I would ever try but I hear it is..pretty much its an everyday thing in the morning and night.. babies are very fragile to temps ,feeding and even the light thats over them, so yeah it's hard work, ive been doing it for a while now so i kinda got my own way of doing things that work for me, others might do it differently but it's working for me sofar....gets a little expensive(salt, food, rotifers, rotifer food etc.) but worth it to me when i see nice patterned babies swimming everywhere. this pair is very special cause one is a percula and the other is a occellaris, never has there been a snowflake and a picasso bred to see offspring outcome, so it'll be nice to see what they produce....

okay guys little update, today is day 8 and i already see full white helmets like the momma , a great sign ,headstripe is more thicker around the whole heads compared to my black ice babies, also looks like most of them have the same amounts of white bands vs 2 or 3 babies i saw with regular head bands so great percentage sofar, also see a couple babies that seem to be very pale like a ghost looking fry, humm wondering if they will be all white , great signs sofar, im in the process of learning a new camera that i bought that will take macro pics and i will post some pics of progression....meanwhile here's a video of todays hatch of my onyx pair,, look at all those babies talk about massive nest.....

Selling any of the unhatched nests for fostering? :)

it says banned under his name so I don't think he will be responding. he also does this to sell offspring so he won't be selling his hard work

Saw the after the fact.
I appreciate you attempting to clarify, though. And often times, when breeders aren't taking any more fry, instead of letting the fry die, they give the eggs away for others to care for. So his "hard work," isn't wasted.
But once again, thanks.

I'm sure he would if you had proof of other clutches you have raised or your own breeding clowns

I wasn't aware you were speaking on his behalf.
While I don't have proof of clownfish being raised in my care, I do with various Seahorse breeds, which are typically more difficult. Perhaps he'd consider me. But, he won't see this so really there is no point in this conversation.
Next time I'll keep questions regarding other people's decisions alone, as you'll answer for them.

It looks as if the two of you have resolved this conversation, might as well take it to PM.
Good luck with the clownfish rearing, littlereef.
