welcome to MAAST! 72 bow front is a nice tank. I think you will enjoy it. What's your stocking plans and what equipment do you have? Start there and figure out your best plan based on what kind of livestock you want to keep and what you already have equipment wise.

Thanks,
Im going to start with fish only with live rock and eventually switch over to reef, equipment wise just all the basics exp: heater, power head, pump filter, dual strip light with two 10k bulbs. Thats it so far. Do you know what else I might need for fish only?

if you plan to drill, which I suggest doing so then that would be the first thing you would want to get done.

your lights will need to be upgraded for reef..but like you said, not needed right now for Fish Only.
Live Rock should be on the top of your list right now. I would even suggest starting a brute trash can with saltwater and a powerhead and start cycling rock as you get it while you work on your tank and equipment details/gathering.

Thanks for the advice sounds like a great idea where do you suggest I get my live rock from?

You could pick up some cured LR from local reefers or an LFS (more expensive), OR you could go with dry rock from BRS or Marco Rocks (cheaper). Dry rock will take much longer to cycle, but help in prevent introducing pests into the system. There are of course other variable at play here, but I'm feeling kind of lazy and don't want to write a book right now.
