Went to port aransas this weekend caught some peps and snails at the jetties.. I also caught this fish, i took a picture of it and let it go. Anyone know what type of fish this is. it was probably about a foot and a half. thanks

I always was told you get shocked if you rub them between the eyes, tho with a mouth like those things have i never been brave enough to try it. :)

a dogfisg is in the shark family.

What you caught is a toad fish aka oyster fish. Look it up, ugly fish.

Without a doubt Oysterfish. Ive caught a few of them.

I just call it Jabba the hut fish. Def a oyster fish..

I grew up on the East Coast. We called them Oyster Crackers. Allegedly, they can crush small oysters. And yes, they are nasty.
