Where can i go to have a tank built to custom dimensions? I only have so much room in my stand to have a holding tank for the ATO water.
I prefer not pay an ungodly amount of money for what could be a conveniently shaped trash can. In my old tank I had a tall trash can that held about 7 gallons of water which was good enough.

This is what I was thinking.

regal plastics sells scrap acrylic for $1 a pound - it is pretty easy to cut on a table saw and assemble with weldon. you could probably build that yourself in an hour or two.

I tried ace's route first when I needed an ATO tank...my seals failed when I did a water pressure test. Weldon does take some skill to put on. I ended up getting my custom tank done through Louis at Elagent Reef.

Jason,
I took the liberty of moving your thread to the equipment and DIY area as it seemed more fitting than an emergency discussion.

I'm in the same boat.... Was thinking about a small trash can though....
Are they safe?? I don't need anything leeching into my system. I would hate to have something built and then have a leak later on....
I have had my ATO for my reef keeper sitting in it's box for too long now... Guess I got me a little project this week...

oops i think i was reading the dieing fish thread when this popped in my head.
the only prob with the trash can is you never know how much is in there. i suppose that is easily remedied. i had a white can without issue.

I had Toy at Aquatrend make me a custom glass 30 gallon ATO sump. I've had it for 9 years and its worked like a charm. I believe I paid around $80 for it...... Well worth the money
