Thanks for the video. I have not seen that video before.

Makes you wonder if the fish are even removed from those bags before reaching your door, or the LFS. Spearing a mandarin seems kind of silly, why not just grab it? I guess it saves a few seconds?

Wow, that's crazy. Were they spraying cyanide on the fish to sedate them?

I would presume they spearfish the mandarins so they are easier to catch, but dang!

I don't believe they stay in those bags. At the LFS i've only seen them single creature to a bag. In the video they were putting many into one bag of the same species.

I thought at the end they claimed the synide was a recreation? The part I thought was stupid was bringing them up too fast and poking there bellies to let the air out!

I believe the video was a recreation, that no fish were harmed in the video... Don't know if those manderins would agree... But what do I know.

The cyanide was simulated I believe.

I'm pretty sure when diving I've killed a couple fish by chasing them down deep and then back to the surface trying to catch them. I gave them bubble guts. I feel bad now. Poor fishies.

I'm confused. I was pretty sure they were catching fish after they sprayed them with something first in the 'cyanide recreation'. If that wasn't real cyanide, why were they so easy to catch? Why do they use cyanide in the first place if the fish are that easy to catch? What is the intent/effect on the fish when using cyanide? Dang it, now I just have more questions than answers...

I know when Jason went to Hawaii he said they kept the fish in the bags and even fed them in them so as a store we.never did a Hawaii order again

Why they use chemicals I mean if you can add ten more fish that's like two more dollars for the.

I think we need to start another post called the poor collection of fish? We are bouncing back and forth from Tanked to the collection of fish. Can any of the mods move some of the post including mine to a new thread? And I agree with you Bill on the how did we do that? Maybe if you wrote the show they could create a show just on that topic?

I can do it once I get to work, unless mike is already in.

i dont think it was off track from the original thread it was a reply to the people mad about the show and how they probally kill alot of fish. just showing how we as hobbiest feed into the killing of fish and how we are just as bad as them if you want to point fingers.
so why move the post think it should of been discussed in a little more detail before moving!!
