It's time to make some room. Up for sale is my Tyree LE Purple Monster chalice colony. 12+ eyes, full rim. Extremely hard to find. I know it's a lot of money, this is one very rare beastie. $500 for the colony. I can deliver Saturday the 25th. No, I won't frag it, and yes, I will consider reasonable offers  You won't find this one for sale anywhere, not even on fragfarmers. This chalice IS lineaged.

Jeremy it's about 2" x 2". Much nicer than the photo, my camera is being a horses backend.

As this chalice matures, it will develop a sweet baby blue rim, and the gold corallites will become more prominent.
It eats like a pig, and the sweepers are not outrageously long, so you don't have to worry too much about it nuking the neighbors. It's a slow, steady grower, and the older and bigger it gets, the prettier it is getting. The last time I saw it for sale, it was $195 per eye. This one has over 12 eyes, that's just over $41 an eye.

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)
This is the most expensive coral I own, by far. It's really stunning in person, but I don't expect to sell it. That's a lot of coin for a coral, but someone out there might just be looking for it. Ya never know :)

On the off chance, I will also trade this coral for:
three tires, 31x10.5x15 all terrain tread
or a 5' tank, 130gallons or more, with stand, bottom drilled.
or partial payment for 16' or larger Carolina Skiff, center console.
Now, there is a wide assortment of possibilities <G>.
Edit: I've had a couple of folks ask..........yes, I will accept payments on the coral, but it stays here until it's paid for.

You know that you're a reef-a-holic if you finance your coral purchases...
You know that you're a trailer park reef-a-holic if you place your coral purchases on law-a-way...

True, true.
Did you know there is a coral retailer out there who has a layaway program? At least that's what I've been told. Yeah, I heard it somewhere, that's right. <ahem>.
Ya know, two people could go in on this colony and cut it. And still have something well worth the money. It's a collectors piece, just gotta find the right person.
