What is this? ID please

I've been watching this thing grow at the base of my pavona for the last few weeks and I don't know what it is. It looks like a feather duster covered in coralline, but I don't see any polyp. Plus it looks a little more purple than that. This was the best picture of it I have, it just happened to be in the background so I figured I would ask.

Looks like a vermetid snail.

Ah yes, I got an ID on it yesterday and it was. I got him out of there before I had in infestation.
