Attempted Jailbreak

I just got through feeding the tanks, and walked back into the bedroom to find that my open brain coral felt it necessary to vacate the premises. It works like this...

First, you puff up real big

Needless to say, I shut the pumps down until he settled down and deflated. The very last thing I need is that thing pretending to be a hovercraft in my tank. Yes, he's done it before, no, it's not nearly as funny as it sounds. Sometimes he gets a little overexcited at feeding time.

I have no idea where he thinks he would go. Doubt he does either.

If it can catch the flow from the alternating powerheads just right he can certainly float. First time I saw it, I did a double take.

haha, tangs eating corals and now this, just when you thought you've seen it all, I guess that's foolish thinking, we are talking about sea creatures.

That long nose hawk does look kind of shifty, I bet he was the mastermind behind the whole scheme. Probably intended to sell it to one of the other tanks for a tidy profit, being paid in black market mysis (of course.) :P

I'm willing to bet that our captive creatures have a lot of behaviors we haven't witnessed.

I just happened to have the honor of owning a pink and green toxic frisbee that can launch of its' own free will.

He has returned to his normal size and location. I'm not totally sure what sets him off, he only does this hovercraft imitation once every few months (that I see, any way). My helmet coral gets overinflated sometimes, but he never manages liftoff. Thank goodness. A tea saucer, with tentacles. Do Not Need.
