Ok all, with this tank i decided to dose Dr Tims ammonium chloride to do my fishless cycle. It went great and i added live bacteria from my wife's tank to feed off the ammonia. My question is this- now i have the tank converting 3 ppm ammonia and associated nitrites to nitrate inside of 24 hours so the tank is cycled. My trates were 80 ppm this morning and i did a 50 % WC followed by another 50% WC four hours later.

My trates are at 20 ppm now and i am just making sure this is ok to start adding my CUC and possibly a clown. Any advice is welcome.

BTW- This is the first time out of my 3 tanks i have owned in the past that i have focused soooo much on the cycle and it almost "consumed" me! http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/images/smilies/rollface.gif

your tank will cycle a lil even after you add livestock the key is keeping numbers down so basically don't add a bunch of fish. i like to cycle with clowns especially tank raised. then slowly add clean up crew. was the rock you used dry or live rock.
