With probes preferable. Apparently I was misled and you need an SL1 to run a temp probe off an RKE. So if anyone has one, let me know please.

Tuan, check out the SL2, it does temp and salinity (once DA fixes their probe). The SL1 does temp and ORP, unless you're planning on running ozone, ORP isn't very helpful. Salinity could be.

Ya def going sl2 once da gets it together..it's back ordered ATM though. Figured I'd do the sl1 for now to at least get temp monitoring in.

True, I heard they released the SL2V2, that was supposed to fix the problems with the conductivity probe, don't know if they ever followed through with it though.

Itemp probes don't run on an rke. It will run on a lite but not the elite. Perhaps someone with actual experience with the RKE will chime in and clarify.

the reef keeper elite will not run the temp probe with serial bus connection. you need the one that plugs into the temp connection on a sl1 or sl2. that's why the package comes with a sl1.

Your Itemp plugs into the pc4 not the RKE if u look on the RKE it will give u a error for itemp due to it not being plugged into the pc4 maybe t you have the temp prob for the sl1are 2 maybe you are trying to use the wrong temp prob

That's what I gathered as well. Thanks for the confirmation.

I never knew the itemp didn't work for the RKE but it's good to know for when I upgrade to the RKE

I am about to do a tank tear down and have an sl1 with a ph probe. I can let it go for $55.
