August Meeting/Elegant Reef Anniversary

We are pleased to announce that Louis and crew at Elegant Reef will be hosting the August meeting at their store on the 25th starting at 2PM. It is also the Anniversary for the store.

Alton will be there to discuss and help with electrical components, electricity, and safety for our tanks.

Louis is not sure exactly what will be on special, but said keep your eyes open for something.
He also said that he will be over ordering corals for that day and if there is something you want in particular to speak up and he will try to bring it in.

Stand by for other announcements such as food and post up here or the calendar so we can start the head count .

Also if you bring a piece of equipment from your aquarium that shocked you and or shorted out you will be eligible for a drawing for a prize (To be Determined). And yes a very short story will have to accompany the equipment. So start looking for that bad power head, return pump, heater, or what ever that you threw in the drawer or bucket of junk and bring it with you.

Hey guys and gals. I'm sorry I haven't posted about our Anniversary until now.

Our party will be in our parking lot and of course you are all welcome to hang out inside to beat the heat. We will be setting up tents, fans, and a large port-o-cool to help make the outdoors a bit more comfortable. We will be making burgers on the grill with all the fixin's for everyone to enjoy along with cold beverages!

The plan is to start the events and food around 2pm but please don't let that deter you from stopping by earlier and taking advantage of our 20% off all livestock sale that will go on all day long!

Alton, I do have that small table you can use for your electricity demonstration. Unfortunately I don't have any other tables available other than the two we plan on using for food, so please bring a table for the MAAST Charter Signup if needed.

Louis, thank you for hosting the meeting at your place! I had a great time visiting with everyone. Surprised I was able to hold off on the great many wonderful deals to be had. ( I don't wanna sleep in the garage for the next week or so! ). The studio was looking very spiffy as always. See ya next time my willpower weakens! Lol!

Um, I DID bring home another tank :)

For those who missed it, a great time was had by all. I got some smokin' hot deals on some new critters, lots of nice things to choose from. The electrical presentation given by Alton was quite informative and the impromptu question and answer sessions taught this old construction dog a few new tricks.

It was great seeing everyone again, always a fun time!

Now I gotta get my 140g build finished, so I can start the build on the tall tank I picked up yesterday. Got a couple of really cool ideas for this one. And that makes 10. Tanks, that is. Good grief.
