Anyone have any luck with these, there ultra bright 10° jumbo leds.

ok well they are bright but i don't think bright enough, I am debating on trying to find a pre built unit or doing a dyi with Cree leds. Anyone have experience with building with these, don't think i would need but one or two for 2 gallons, Is sodering necessary?

Not too hard to build. But soldering IS required - and it's a bit tricky. You will need a good heat sink, and a driver as well.

you do not have to solder them as some are solder-less where you just add some thermal grease and screw them down on the heat sink. Check them out on Rapid LED http://www.rapidled.com/solderless/

do yall think this would light a 125 gal? I am looking at over half the cost in bulbs for MH and T5.
