Any thoughts on using kenya trees in a fuge, similar to people who use xenia that way, versus different macro?

I would think kenya trees would give very similar results as xenia, with that said the only down side would the same as any other refugium. For them to make a large difference in filtration/nutrient export the refugium really needs to be pretty large. When I eventually set up another larger tank my refugium(s) with be the same water volume as the display if not larger.

I read xenias and your standard pest glass anemone do awesome jobs as filter additions. In the coral propagation book I'm reading through hard core naturalist use them. Xenias do really well with nitrate export and they grow like wildfire. Keep us posted.

I was under the impression that kenya trees were not a photosynthetic coral. Would you have to spot fed the ones in the fuge?
