PH keeps going up doing the day to 8.9 even to 9.1 should I start useing an addictive to lower it back to 8.0

how are you measuring that? Most species are fairly sensitive to pH, and I have NO IDEA how it could swing that high without killing everything. My guess is that is a false high, and if you try to lower it to "8.0", you'll actually be TOO acidic. Get another pH meter, or recalibrate, or have someone else test it first.

Ok I'll look into my ph prob today

Last time my PH rose that high, it was the probe, recalibrate it. If everything is ok and it's not looking that bad, I wouldn't worry about it.


Is it my old probe?
