Ahhhhggggg! More coral eating fish :bareteeth::at_wits_end:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today my scopas tang decided to eat ALL of the polyps off my big toadstool, then he decided to chase that with a zoa snack combined with a watermelon milli taste test. Stop that! Out comes the net and the big tongs..............And while I am trying to catch him, I look over and see my yellow tang ripping pulsing xenia off the rocks and chasing it down in the current. They both just polished off a quarter sheet of nori and a hunk of mysis each not an hour before this.

At least now I know where my zoas have been going, and why my toadstool is really, really mad.

NO MORE TANGS will be in my reef tanks, EVER. Both of the evil little snots are in the qt until the 140g goes up. They can live amongst the barren rocks and predators.

Humph! Horrid fish. Dang good thing my other fish came out of qt yesterday, so I had somewhere to put them. Nothing to tear up in there. Jerks.

Good to know. I am also thinking about passing on a tang all together in my new reef, even though I really really want one.

Never again for me. I've had entirely enough of this nonsense.

what. did you raise your tang? or did you adopt him/her?

I got all my tangs when they were little. Been Lucky no issues. all good.

They clean most of all the bad algae of my frags for me. They dont eat my shrimp or my coral.

Its kool to watch them clean the frags and leave the coral.

The yellow I've had since he was tiny. The scopas came to me as a bigger fish. They were not in the same tank, so they didn't learn from each other.

I cant think of a better BIG sw reef fish. By them little and raise them. Their more fun that way.

On another note, they all have their own personalities.
