fiji mud?

I was just curious if anyone has used fiji mud long term, if so did you notice anything different? I've been thinking about different things I could put in my sump to help with filtration or adding trace etc. It seems like it could help, but of course everything sound great by what the companys claim.

I tried Fiji mud in the sump of my last tank for a couple of months so I'm not sure about long term affects. However, this stuff will cloud your water for a day or so when first put in. It also slowly dissolves and will clog any sponge filters enough to cut back on flow through them in a weeks time. Plus, when you pull the sponges to rinse them, the water gets cloudy all over again.
