I am going out of town tomorrow for a week. My main sw tank is setup to maintain itself about 90% (assuming everything works), my neighbor will be watching the tanks and doing what little maintenance there is to do. He is aware of what he needs to do, such as feeding and keeping the ATO reservoir full.

I was curious if I could put some of you 'on call', so to speak, in the event that something catastrophic happens, my neighbor is not a reefer (yet!), so while I am confident he knows what to do and can handle most situations I can walk him through, there is the chance I need a more experienced reefer to figure out or fix something. I have no idea what that would entail, but should something happen it would put me at ease knowing someone is there to help.

I don't foresee any issues, lightly stocked tank, but you know what they say, "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst."

I'm thinking worse case scenario it may need a water change or testing for parameters. He's seen me make salt, but I'd feel better someone with sw experience did something like that. I just did a WC so it should be fine, I'm just paranoid.

Thanks guys. I have faith everything will be okay, but I'm primarily worried since it's a relatively new tank still. You just never know. I trust my work so we'll see. Thanks for the numbers and keep an eye out for this thread next week. I'll be posting here if anything comes up.

Well, everything went off without a hitch. My tank sitter did a splendid job and the ATO and RODI topoffs worked flawlessly.
