I really want to add a tang to the 105 at some point. I'm not sure what kind to get though. I know tank size can be an issue and some develop a taste for corals. I was thinking some kind of smaller tang, maybe like a whitecheek? If size is not too much of a factor, something like a yellow belly looks great to me. Or a powder brown? Just kind of throwing out ideas as to what appeals to me.

So, what kind of tangs would you recommend for a 105 (48x24x21)?

Do you plan on keeping the tang? If you plan on keeping a tang you need that 210. at least.
I have a 125 6ft 6x2 footprint for 4 tangs. amongst others. Its not big enough. I want to keep them.
I have a stand for an 8ft tank but thats for later. Hopefully they wont get to stressed until I upgrade again.
Some tangs aggressively swim more than others. such powder blues and yellow eye kole tangs are aggressive swimmers.
no experience with the whitecheek. I have yellow, sailfin, vlamingi, and hippo. no coral nippin yet. lol

I have a yellow, vlaminigi, naso, and a bristle tooth and they never have ate any of my corals... Or I have never seen them in the action....

But the vlaminigi gets too big, and the yellow is very dominant.

My bristle tooth is one I would recommend, he hasn't got that big since picking him up from gabes awhile back and he just minds his own business grazing anything in site...

My naso is a good guy too.... He's a fast grower as well so Idk if I would recommended him..

I never had any issues with Tangs and corals. Back when I had my 110, I had a powder blue, yellow, and a sail fin with no issues with corals. I miss that tank.

Was your 110 4 foot or 5?

If I do get something and he gets a little big, I can always move him or find a new home.

Mine was the 4ft tall tank. Some called it a "show" tank.

You can just give him to me! That sounds like a great idea! :P

I had a 110 tall. I was curious since my 105 is a 4 footer.

LOL. I bet it does.
