Hey everyone! Had a few people persuade me to do a build thread so here it goes :shades:

Few months ago I bought non reef-ready 75 gallon and stand on craigslist. I decided to place it where my entertainment system was at.

Don't mind my posters lol... I also decided to get it drilled from Elegant Reef. With that said I went with flex tube for the plumbing.

Got it filled up...waited a day for the water to clear up

Much better added couple of live rocks

Here is a picture of the sump :)

It is a ACE made sump with the dimensions of 36''x16''x18''. Fit perfectly inside the stand.

Till then I will get sand and rocks in the next couple weeks. Gives me time to figure out what kind of fish to put in it .... What kind of Reef safe fish I should put in? And any ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Nice, dude!

I'd pick up some more rock, interesting shapes, something you can work with.

I'm assuming that you're going reef, right? You might want to start off with a chromis or two to check your system after you've cycled. In a tank that small you certainly do not want to add too much of anything too soon or all at once.

Next time you post, put up a pic of your frag tank as well so we can see what you've got working for you.

Nicely done.

Not sure I was thinking of getting a couple of tangs, a wrasse, anything that can help benefit the tank

So on the 75 I added sand and some more dead/live rock. Thanks for everyone to help. Planning on getting the Bubble Magnus C5.5. Any thoughts or experience from it?

So its been over a month since my last update. Got caught up with work, applying for schools, and helping my brother move back in to the house but I finally moved all my coral and live stock from the 30 gallon. Decided I work with one saltwater tank than two. It was too much water change and topping off since i do not have a AT unit or a R/o system. Also my brother had my 55 gallon tank filled with African cichlids so it was best for me to take down the 30 and added the 55 :D

My Livestock so far:
Small blue hippo tang
Yellow tang
Tri color wrasse
3 blue chromis
royal gramma
small yellow watchman
snails and clean up crew

Planning to get flame hawkfish, black and white clownfish, diamond goby

Took my girlfriends camera before she noticed but i need help with the Iso and shutter speed so she had to gave me a piture taking lessons 101 lol :) she gave me a C+ for me pictures but there is always improvement she said. -_-Any who I ordered 14k bulbs for my MH that should come in a week and patiently saving money for a protein skimmer Enjoy more to come!

Thank you thank you. Still messing around with the rock work so they have a lot of swim room but they seem to like it so far.

I'm already tiered of scraping the algae off the glass lol

if you go with bubble magus try and get one with the sicce pump upgrade or get the sea side aquatics brand(same body as bubble magus just with a sicce pump)

I'll look into that.. See if Louis has any at Elegant. That Red Millepora (sorry if I'm wrong) it's looking pretty good!

Very nice....

I'm telling you.... If your going to keep that fixture add those strips to help with spotlighting..

you can add one at a time to help with cost... The strips made a big difference when I had it..

Or could come pick up that hanging kit and raise it... But that would take away from the punch your getting in the tank..

You might even be able to trim the time the MH's are on.. To help cut down on the heat you were having issues with..

I will but you give me so many options I can't decide lol.. I might just go with 2 strips one on each side. I would like to have more color. I forgot which one packs a punch with color. Within time ill pick up the kit and hang it. Oh it is a Welso Brain.
