It's amazing how far technology has come! I don't have to carry my Nikon around half the time because I'm able to do shots like this with my iPhone!

beautiful shot!

I love my cell for taking pics, here are a few I have taken with the Samsumg Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket on ATT) 8MP camera with the exposure set to 0.

Dang. Some nice shots. Rob What are those green acans? Those are awesome looking. I still miss the feel of my Canon in my hands. Not the same as a cell. I want to get a 5d some day. I really like the depth to the sky shot Milly. Very cool pics.

Green ones are non-Indo, we didn't have them long, they sold pretty quickly on the website. Even though you can capture some nice pics with these cells, nothing compares to a nice camera with someone who knows how to use it.

yeah, just have to take a few to get a stunner. I set exposure to 0 and turn anti-shake on. Without setting the exposure to 0 most images end up a little washed out. Sometimes I will adjust the white balance as well but rarely. Close-up shots, corals near the glass or close to surface of water seem to work best.

2 more options that help on my camera,

Metering: "Spot" (means you touch the screen where you want to focus)
Focus Mode: Macro (only use when taking pics of stuff close in)

That's one thing I dont like about the iPhone. I can't manually adjust exposure. Focus, yes. But like you said, that's what you have the big boys for ;)

If you're using the macro lens then yes. It's blurry if it's too far out and won't focus at all

No joke! I got my first phone when I was 18. And that was AFTER I got a job at RadioShack and paid for it myself. Right pops? My little brother...well that's a different story. ;)

It is also a different decade. I never truly understood why your brother got one, save for the fact that with both of us working and living in a big city it was a prudent choice.

I was 28 before I got my first pager, so I wouldn't feel too badly about it.

And for the coup de grace, if any little dudes were gonna be calling my daughter, well they could do it over the land line an not behind my back.

I got my first cell phone from my employer when I was a Engineer for Sprint PCS. That was 1996 though and when I started work for them we were trying this new concept of 100%digital for our network. A year later we introduced this whole new type of cellular communications to the United states called GSM. Even though Europe had analog GSM for years. Our's was the first all digital GSM in the country. This was in Washington DC. My second celluler phone was a year after that when I left Sprint and went to AT&T wireless in Nor Cal. You can imagine how I was able to get that job:-) After all the telecom experience I dumped it 8 years later after they layed me off. Now I'm a combat medic instructor in the army.

LOL...Jeremy it's not the phone it's the monthly service. Me and my wife have iphones and our kids have a flipphone through AT&T and my monthly phone bill is $205. We don't have a landline phone though because the only people to ever call us were soliciters.

Deja vu... Allan, I have had this EXACT conversation, almost word for word, with both of my daughters! One of them went so far as to bet me that I was so spoiled as a kid that I probably had my own cell phone at ten years old. Um.... no one had a cell phone when I was ten years old. But I remember my dad's first car phone, in a bag, about the size of a concrete cinder block. Technology advances so quickly. What will the next generation think about these iPhones?

No accent, brown hair fairly long, rides a metric bike sometimes a jeep. I believe that she was a reservist for a number of year's.

I don't know, kristy, but this morning I was out running and I started thinking that it's pretty weird that we went from Walkmen (am/fm), to a combo with a tape deck, then at one point I remember yuppies running with the waist mounted CD player, then we got down to the little thumbnail sized iPod thing... And there I was running down the street listening to Selena Gomez on my telephone :D

What is the world coming too? Heck, in hall pass the guys take mental pictures (to get thread back on track:)) by snapping their eyes.... Can't wait for one of those cameras. :)
