does anyone have a scwd they are not using. have one that is old that gave out and need to replace

did you try cleaning your old one? Running it in distilled white vinegar overnight normally does the trick unless something is actually broken on it. Normally they just get a lot of gunk and calcium build up preventing them from operating correctly.

I considered the SCWD on my current tank during the building phase. I just heard so many stories similar to yours where they'd stop working. Like me, you're probably better off finding a used Oceans Motions Super Squirt or some other Oceans Motions product. I found mine for $75 shipped on RC. I've never had a single problem with mine.

last I heard the guy that build ocean motion just stopped. may wanna check, Louis called and got a voice mail saying he was closed but didn't say how long it was going to be.

Solid i have had great success with the scwd. the one i'm replacing is about 6 or 7 years old and has worked great. If I had cleaned it out once or twice in that span I might not be replacing it now. Main prop inside broke. I looked into the ocean motion and chose the scwd because of no power needed feature and the size under my tank. Corner tank with very little room. Thanks everyone for the information, I'm always up for input.
