I've never seen a larger one than the standard 1-1.25" ones. Do you have a link to a product you have in mind, or are you looking for options?

Its a j tube that fits in the big hob overflow boxes. It has to go deeper for better siphon. not a u tube. j tube lol

I see that. I guess it needs to be submerged more so the stronger siphon doesn't pull in air from the surface. Okay, I'll get out of your thread now. It was worth a few free bumps though...LOL

Are you drilling or going HOB? Or is that why you're asking if I can drill it, so you don't have to go HOB? I'm comfortable with any of them so long as the glass is thick enough.

I have a u tube, but no j tube..I have a u tube. On the bigger HOB overflow boxs you have to reach down farther to get siphon working.

No coral necessary. You already hooked me up with a handful of freebies.

I just checked what I have, 1-1/2, 1-3/4, 2-3/8, and a 3". They're all used except the 1-3/4, which is for a 1" bulkhead. I'm confident all of them will work. I would only doubt them if we needed to go through something like 1/2" glass. Do you know how thick the glass is?

Yeah, it might. I've only drilled 3/16" or thicker.
