Rain Water

Has anyone ever used rain water for their water changes?
I just caught 30 gallons today during a short shower here in Kerrville.
I mixed about a quart with salt to the right salinity and checked it with API
the only thing that was just a little high at about 0.25 was the Ammonia
the Ph was great 8.2-8.4
No nitrites
just about 5.0 nitrates
what do you guys think?

I'd worry the ammonia. And why add nitrates?

your right I seem to have great tap water here in Kerrville so I guess I'll not try to fix what is not broken:bigsmile:
Curious as to the Ammiona and nitrates where would they come from?
