I contacted reefgeek and asked them if they would honorthe same military discount they provided when I purchased an ATI light fixturefrom them 6 months ago. They responded by saying they were unable to forVorTech pumps. Is this an EchoTech policy or is reefgeek just picking andchoosing which products they want to discount. Across the board this pump salesfor $465. I understand that some manufacturers have set prices that vendersmust adhere to. I would like to get this pump and my wife has given me the goahead but I refuse to purchase products from companies who aren't militaryfriendly. It's not even the cost as much as the principle of the matter. Thediscount would have only been 5%. If I purchased local would any of you offer the MAST discount or military?

there map pricing if i recall correctly ... so there just following there rules if some one chooses to make u a better deal they could lose there whole sale with ecotech

That's what I thought. I read an arcticle last week about Samsung and Sony just implimented the exact same policy because retailers where offering huge discounts for there TV's. I went online and checked right after I read it and sure enough all the discounts for there stuff vanished literally over night. It stuck out in my head because I just bought i huge plasma 3 months ago $1000 cheaper then retail. I noticed a lot of venders who sale aquarium supplies have very little difference with the same products. KInda sucks for the consumer and very un american.
