LOOOONG time since I've been here!

I am in the process of building a house out here in Elgin, and am considering building in a seahorse tank beside the fireplace. Will this actually get hot, or does the heat typically stay in the fireplace? Of course, in TX we don't use it much anyway. I would love to get some tips on this: wiring in the cabinet, space I need in addition to aquarium dimensions, etc.

The fireplace wall would have a built in on either side and TV above the fireplace. The space for the aquarium would be 36" tall, 21" wide, 23" deep. (I already have the aquarium that fits this.) Things I need to consider: cleaning the tank and filter, possibly adding a sump--or using my hang on filter, possibly a chiller, lighting, water changes, and fishing out baby seahorses to put in a separate tank (maybe space for this tank below main?).

I know Ace could give me some great information and possibly help building :), but I imagine there are many of you that could give me some pointers. If this turns out to be too big of a hassle, I will try to put the tank elsewhere.

Thanks guys!
