Are you using gel type super glue? Liquid is hard to work with, but with gel what I do is put a nice little bit of it on the frag plug, I then dip the wet super glue into a small container of RO water. This will cause the glue to haze a bit. I then quickly put a second equal sized amount of glue on the frag then I put that in the tank. When you place it on the rock, twist it a bit and hold for about 15 seconds. It should hold quite nicely.

Yes gel I tried again using a crevice it's been sitting for about 15 minutes I think a snail knocked it over the first time but I feel like it should have stuck by the time the snail hit it I used more this time so we will see. how long do you think before I turn pumps on to test the hold?

I usually apply the gel to the plug and have it mounted in about 20-30 seconds. Add another 15-20 seconds to hold and it's fine. I don't have any ridiculous flow in my tank but even the frags that I mounted vertically did not require me to turn my pumps off and they are on there pretty good.. Try twisting it on there to get the glue into the crevices.

Also make sure to dip it and get it to haze. For the longest time when I first got into the hobby I tried just one coat of glue and it never worked for me.

when glue comes out of the tube it is clear-ish but when you dip it in water, the glue reacts with the water and becomes cloudy. When it's cloudy it becomes somewhat malleable and when you add another layer of glue on it, it allows you to make good contact with a wet surface.

And no problem! Welcome to MAAST :)
