I need a fish that stays pretty "small" size for my 20g long tank. Starting to get some hair algae. I know tangs are the way to go but that ain't happening in this tank. lawn mower Blenny maybe? Anyone have any experience with them actually eating algae? This is what's starting to grow.

I bought a tailspot blenny and he needs to get fired......

I will probably kick him to my display tank soon...

I bought a baby blue hippo and he didnt look good at first but now hes eating away...

I know, my frag tank is too small, I plan to send him to the DT when he grows just a little bit.. I wanted to get one as small as he is and make sure he was good for my DT. Rather than getting a med sized one and him freaking out my tank or having a illness......

lawnmower blenny is all I could recommend, but if he eats anything like my tailspot then I would hire someone else..

I'll ask around some more I think I had one for my bio cube back in the day but he didn't do much. At least from what I remember.

Try blue leg hermits. If its too long already they won't eat it so you will have to manually remove the longer pieces. That and gfo is what took out all the hair algae in my tank.

can GFO be placed in a mesh bag?

Chemipure elite has some in it, correct?

can I run chemi pure and GFO?

I'm already using the chemi pure. Didn't even think of the blue legs, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

GFO is Granular Ferric Oxide.
