This thing is growing fast! Went from the size of a nickel to bigger than a golf ball in I wanna say a week and a half. will growth slow or do i need to relocate after a while it's about 4 inches from a rock I wanna propagate a mushroom to fill it up and about 7 inches from my Kenya tree that's also growing like crazy. Also does this hybrid have a sweeper tent iv read a lot about euphyllias have sweeper tents at night. Haven't noticed but it is dark so not really sure

It grows fairly fast. Mine has grown from a tiny head to softball size in about a year. The tentacles aren't much bigger than the regular ones.

I had a large kenya awhile back. When they really want to irritate you they will start dropping branches all over the place. Those take hold and then you've truly an invasion.

I've had my scubosteveo next to a lot of other corals, I've not seen much if any fighting. Although the heads don't appreciate a dunk in the sand.

Are branches falling normal or a bailout

Wat dat means?

OH, I get it. Kenya tree leathers start self propagating themselves when they reach larger sizes. It looks to me like they are pinching some of their branches off.

Yeah Kenya trees can become quite envasive when they reach larger sizes.

The small frags were a PITA to get them to stick where I wanted them to. Then, I couldn't get anyone who wanted to buy them. I ended up giving them all away... After all that I never put them in my tank again. The ones I had were the brown kenya tree type though...

That sucks y not use glue, mine is bright pink and purple, real eye catcher .I'm sure plenty of people on here would like one for a small frag trade or 5 bucks even. Also can take to lfs for credit:bigsmile:

As for the scubasteveo - as a euphylia, it has very small sweepers - as noted, only about the same distance as the polyps. This is what makes it a particularly good coral - along with good growth and hardiness.

For those looking for one, I have them available FREE in the frag-exchange program.

The Kenya I've had success binding them lightly with a rubberband. after a week it two they glue on their own.

You can also use a MCC rubble rock box.

Ahh rubble rock box sounds like the best bet thanks, kinda like anchoring mushrooms. I wouldn't have thought of that
