On the Angels I have two flames that are reef safe including clam safe. I have a Cherub that is safe. The others are so so and I can not keep Acans or brains. I had a clown trigger that I grew from a baby that was reef safe, he used to pack the crabs around but never try to eat them. I had issues with his bio load so I traded him.

Someone on Reef Central posted this poll, I wish I could give credit but I can not remember who it was?

I've had a flame for awhile now and he's been a good boy...

I have a flame in one tank and an african flameback in another. So far, neither has eaten anything they weren't supposed to.
Now I gotta go knock on some wood, because getting that flameback out would involve a complete teardown.

We keep three angels in our 210g reef: flame angel, coral beauty, and a bellus angel. All are well behaved. (We also have a perfectly behaved long-nosed butterfly, but you didn't ask about butterflies... :) )
In our more aggressive tank we have a couple of triggers: picasso trigger (aka humu humu) and a bluejaw. This tank is not exactly a FOWLR but it's softies only, some xenia and mushrooms and leathers. I don't really think either would be interested in your coral but you'd have a heck of a time keeping a clean-up crew. Snails are pretty much out of the question. Hermit crabs have decent odds of survival if we get the bigger ones. The picasso trigger owns that tank so he can eat pretty much whatever he wants, as far as Mike is concerned!

It is hit or miss with angels in a reef tank. I keep a flame and coral beauty in my 180 reef. Both of them have never bothered any of my corals and clams. I had an eibli that would nip at every single coral in my tank.
